1. About these Terms

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern your use of revisionsensei.com and any related services, content and features made available through it (the Site).

1.2 These terms apply whether you browse the Site, create an account, use any free features, start a free trial, or buy a paid subscription.

1.3 By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, you must not use the Site.

3. Who Can Use the Site

3.1 The Site is intended for individual consumers for personal, non-commercial use.

3.2 To create a learner account, you must be at least 13 years old.

3.3 We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts.

3.4 If you are under 18, you may only use the Site with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who should review these terms with you.

3.5 To create a Parent Account or buy a subscription for a learner, you must be 18 or over and have the authority to do so.

3.6 You must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when creating an account and keep your details up to date.

4. Accounts and Security

4.1 Each learner account is for one learner only. You must not share your login details with anyone else.

4.2 Parent Accounts are separate from learner accounts. A Parent Account may be linked to one or more learner accounts where the Site supports that.

4.3 You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account.

4.4 You must tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account without permission.

4.5 We may refuse, suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe that:

• the information provided is false or misleading;
• the account is being used in breach of these terms;
• the account holder is below the permitted age; or
• there is a security, fraud or misuse risk.

5. The Site and the Service

5.1 The Site provides pre-made revision materials and tools, including flashcards, revision notes, multiple-choice quizzes and exam-style questions.

5.2 The Site does not include live teaching, one-to-one tutoring, or personalised educational support unless we expressly state otherwise.

5.3 Some parts of the Site are free to use. At the date of these terms, free users can access:

• flashcards; and
• five revision notes, one exam-style question and one quiz per month.

5.4 Paid subscriptions unlock unlimited access to the paid features included in the relevant plan.

5.5 The Site may store your answers, progress, revision activity and similar account data so that features such as progress tracking and parent monitoring can work.

5.6 We may add to, update, remove, replace or reorganise content and features from time to time, including to reflect syllabus changes, product improvements, legal requirements or technical needs.

6. Free Trial

6.1 We may offer a free trial from time to time. At the date of these terms, the free trial gives 7 days of full access and does not require payment details.

6.2 Unless we say otherwise, only one free trial is allowed per person.

6.3 At the end of the free trial, your account will revert to the free version of the Site unless you choose to buy a paid subscription.

6.4 We may change, withdraw or refuse a free trial offer for future users at any time. We may also end a free trial early if we reasonably believe it is being abused.

7. Paid Subscriptions

7.1 We currently offer paid subscription plans for:

• 1 month;
• 3 months; or
• 12 months.

7.2 At the date of these terms, all paid plans include the same level of access. The difference between them is the subscription length and price.

7.3 Your initial minimum contract period is the plan you choose.

7.4 A subscription is personal to the learner account for which it is purchased and cannot be shared, sold, transferred or used by another learner unless we expressly say otherwise.

7.5 Where a parent buys a subscription for a linked learner account, that subscription applies to that learner account only. A Parent Account is for monitoring progress and managing billing, and does not itself include learner access unless we expressly say otherwise.

8. Orders, Payment and Auto-Renewal

8.1 When you place an order for a paid subscription, you are making an offer to buy that subscription from us.

8.2 The contract for a paid subscription is formed when we accept your order and either send a confirmation or make the paid access available to you.

8.3 All prices shown on the Site are inclusive of VAT where applicable, unless we clearly say otherwise.

8.4 Payments are processed through Stripe. Your use of Stripe may also be subject to Stripe’s own terms and privacy practices.

8.5 By purchasing a paid subscription, you authorise recurring charges for the plan you selected until you cancel.

8.6 Your subscription will automatically renew for the same subscription period at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.

8.7 You can manage and cancel your subscription through your account settings on the Site.

8.8 If a payment fails, we may retry the payment. If payment is not successfully collected, we may suspend or end your paid access and your account may revert to any free access then available.

8.9 We may reject an order, or suspend a subscription, where reasonably necessary, including for failed payment, suspected fraud, misuse, eligibility issues or technical error.

9. Immediate Access and Cancellation Rights

9.1 Paid subscriptions give immediate access to digital content and digital services.

9.2 Because of that, at checkout you will be asked to:

• expressly request immediate access; and
• acknowledge that you will lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel once supply begins.

9.3 If supply begins after that request and acknowledgement, you will lose the statutory 14-day cooling-off right for that paid subscription period.

9.4 You may still cancel the auto-renewal of your subscription at any time through your account settings. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid period, and you will keep access until then.

9.5 To avoid being charged for the next renewal period, you must cancel before the renewal date.

9.6 Nothing in this section affects any cancellation or refund rights you may have where the law gives you those rights.

10. Refunds and Billing Errors

10.1 Except where the law requires otherwise, or where these terms say otherwise, payments for a current subscription period are non-refundable once access has started.

10.2 We will refund duplicate payments.

10.3 If you believe a purchase was made in error, contact us promptly at help@revisionsensei.com. Where we are reasonably satisfied that it was a genuine accidental purchase, we will refund or adjust the charge fairly, taking into account the circumstances and any use already made of the service.

10.4 Where a refund is due, we will usually make it back to the original payment method.

11. Acceptable Use

11.1 You may use the Site and its content only for your own personal, non-commercial revision and learning.

11.2 You may download and print any PDF that we specifically make available for download, but only for your own personal revision use.

11.3 You must not:

• copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit any part of the Site or its content;
• share your login details or allow another person to use your learner subscription;
• record, screen-record, scrape, data mine or systematically extract content from the Site;
• use bots, scripts, spiders or other automated tools to access or extract material from the Site;
• bypass, disable or interfere with any security, access-control or subscription-control measures;
• use the Site in any unlawful, harmful, abusive or fraudulent way; or
• use the Site in a way that could damage, disable, overburden or impair it.

12. Intellectual Property

12.1 All intellectual property rights in the Site, its content, design, branding, text, graphics, PDFs, quizzes, revision materials and software are owned by us or our licensors.

12.2 We give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Site and its content for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms.

12.3 Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

13. Parent and Learner Linked Accounts

13.1 Where a learner account is linked to a Parent Account, the linked parent may be able to see progress information, activity data and subscription-management information relating to that learner.

13.2 By creating, linking or using a Parent Account, you confirm that you have the right and authority to view that information.

13.3 If there is a dispute about authority over a linked account, we may suspend the link while we investigate.

14. Changes to the Site, Plans and Prices

14.1 We may change the content, features, structure, look and feel of the Site from time to time.

14.2 We may also change our subscription plans or prices.

14.3 Any price change will apply no earlier than your next renewal, and we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect.

14.4 If you do not agree with a price change, you can cancel before the next renewal date.

14.5 If we make a material change that significantly reduces the paid service during your current paid period, contact us and we will consider a fair solution, which may include a proportionate refund, account credit or allowing you to cancel at the end of the current period.

15. Your Legal Rights

15.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under consumer law.

15.2 This includes rights you may have where paid digital content or services are faulty, not as described, or not supplied with reasonable care and skill.

16. Availability and Support

16.1 We do not promise that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

16.2 From time to time we may suspend, withdraw or restrict access to all or part of the Site for maintenance, updates, security reasons or technical reasons.

16.3 You are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, device, browser and software needed to use the Site.

16.4 Support is available via help@revisionsensei.com. We do not guarantee any specific response or resolution time.

17. Educational Nature of the Content

17.1 We aim to keep the Site and its materials useful, accurate and up to date, but content may change and should be used as a revision aid rather than as your only source of study.

17.2 The Site provides general educational resources only. It is not tailored personal advice.

17.3 We do not guarantee any particular exam grade, mark, result, qualification, school place, university offer or other outcome from using the Site.

18. Our Responsibility to You

18.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:

• death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
• any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

18.2 Subject to clause 18.1, we are responsible only for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

18.3 We are not responsible for:

• loss or damage that was not foreseeable;
• loss or damage caused by your breach of these terms;
• business losses, because the Site is for consumer use only; or
• loss caused by internet failures, device issues or third-party services outside our reasonable control.

19. Suspension, Closure and Ending Your Use

19.1 We may suspend or end your access to the Site, or close your account, if you materially breach these terms, including by:

• non-payment;
• account sharing;
• unlawful use;
• misuse of the Site;
• infringement of our intellectual property rights; or
• conduct creating a security or fraud risk.

19.2 Where reasonably possible, we will try to give notice and a chance to fix the issue before permanently closing an account, unless immediate action is needed.

19.3 If we suspend or close your account because of your material breach, we will not usually refund unused subscription time, unless the law requires otherwise.

19.4 You may stop using the Site at any time. If you cancel a paid subscription, the cancellation stops future renewals but does not usually end the current paid period early.

19.5 When a paid subscription ends, your access to subscriber-only content on the Site ends. Any PDF you lawfully downloaded while subscribed may continue to be used for your own personal revision, unless we told you otherwise at the time of download.

19.6 If we decide to stop offering the Site entirely, we will try to give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, provide a proportionate refund for any unused paid period.

20. Privacy and Cookies

20.1 Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data.

20.2 Our Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.

21. Complaints

21.1 If you have a complaint, please contact us at help@revisionsensei.com.

21.2 We will investigate complaints and try to resolve them fairly and as promptly as reasonably possible.

22. Other Important Terms

22.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, but this will not reduce your rights under these terms.

22.2 You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to another person.

22.3 Each clause of these terms operates separately. If any part is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in force.

22.4 If we delay in enforcing these terms, that does not mean we have waived our right to do so later.

22.5 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except that mandatory consumer protections applying in the part of the UK where you live will still apply to you.
