Senior Job Roles
What are Senior Job Roles?
Senior job roles sit above creative and technical roles in the production hierarchy. Rather than producing content directly, senior professionals oversee, organise, and guide the work of others. They are responsible for the overall direction, quality, and delivery of a media product — and they are often the primary point of contact with the client.
Senior roles tend to span all three production phases. Planning and decision-making begin in pre-production, oversight continues through production, and final approval of the finished product happens in post-production.
Campaign Manager
A campaign manager oversees the planning and delivery of a media campaign from start to finish. A campaign is a coordinated set of media outputs — such as social media posts, adverts, and promotional videos — all working together towards a shared goal.
Responsibilities include interpreting the client brief, allocating tasks to team members, managing resources such as budget and time, organising the schedule of activities, and tracking progress to ensure the campaign stays on course. The campaign manager is the person who keeps all moving parts of a project aligned with the client's objectives. Because they are involved in planning, delivery, and review, campaign managers operate across all three phases.
